Obituary for Sandra Bosin

Sandra “SIS” Bosin, 61, of Oklahoma City, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at her residence in OKC. Sis was born on February 15, 1953 in Tulsa, OK to Raymond and Dorothy (Sawyer) Butler, JR.

Sis attended Shawnee and OKC public schools where she graduated Capitol Hill High School in 1971. She then attended Haskell Junior College and Rose State College. Loving her church, she was a member of Angie Smith Memorial United Methodist Church in OKC where she was a worship leader for ten years. She was secretary for the Northern District of United Methodist Women(U.M.W.) and she had also been president of the local unit. Sis retired in June of 2009 from the OKC area Indian Health Services where she had worked for 28 ½ years. She had also been secretary for Finance and Property Management.

Sis loved watching O.U. football and basketball games along with watching The Thunder. She loved Kevin Durant and Coach Bob Stoops. She loved to attend POW WOWS. Sis loved all kinds of people and if you had ever met Sis, she was your friend. When she retired, she thought it would be the end of the world since she had loved her job and being around people but it wasn’t.

She met Ronnie Jack Bosin at Wheeler Park (she thought he was Rocky) and on March 6, 1982 she married the love of her life. Ronnie said, “What a catch SIS is and I don’t want to throw her back.”

Sis was preceded in death by her father, and older brother Bubby Butler.

Sis is survived by her husband, Ronnie, son-Ron Bosin, daughter-Thetath Bosin, 2 grandsons; Ron “Little Bear” Bosin and Angel Harjo all of OKC. Mother-Dorothy Butler of Red Rock, 3 brothers; Butch Butler of Red Rock, Chiefy Butler of OKC and Chad Butler of Red rock.3 sisters; Francis McHenry of Broken Arrow, Joyce Dupoint of Carnegie, OK and Dara Franklin of el Reno, OK. Very special friend Allene Hamilton, numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all her friends who she knew and loved.

Wake services will be 7 p.m., Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center. Traditional Meal will be at Noon on Sunday, June 22, 2014 with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Jimmy Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Ace Butler, Nathan Butler, Almon Butler, Tom Butler, Stephen Factor and Corbett Jones. Honorary Bearers are Ronnie Tiger and Larry Thompson.

Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
