Roxann Renae Casteel

November 20, 1999 – September 12, 2019

Roxann Renae Casteel, age 19, of Lucien passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 12th. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17th at the First Baptist Church in Perry with Pastor Phillip Gregg officiating. Roxann will be taken to her final place of rest at the Grace Hill Cemetery following the service.

Roxann was born November 20th, 1999 in Enid to Debbie Casteel and Rocky Hunt. Roxann attended Covington-Douglas public schools where she graduated in 2018. She played basketball and was crowned the 2017 football Homecoming Queen. Roxann went to Autry Technology Center in Enid her junior and senior year where she completed courses in dental assisting and business and information technology. After graduating, she went to work in Enid for Oklahoma AgCredit as a receptionist and then moved to the Stillwater branch.

Roxann always had a smile on her face and a laugh that was contagious to all of those around her. She was kind, hardworking, and happy. Roxann was also a tad ornery and loved to joke around. In the months leading to her passing, Roxann had met and fallen in love with her boyfriend Jared and he had become a big part of her life. Roxann enjoyed spending her free time with her sister Kasey and best friend Chloe, but most of all she loved being an aunt to her three nephews and three nieces. She enjoyed family cookouts, ski-trips, playing cards and fishing with her Papa Garry and Grandma Barb. Roxann especially loved her Teacup Yorkie Daisy, she got from her mom Debbie on her 16th birthday.

Roxann is survived by her mother Debbie Casteel of Lucien, OK; father Rocky Hunt of Orlando, OK; brother TJ Casteel and wife Bonnie of Lucien, OK; sister Kasey Rich and husband Leonard of Perry, OK; grandparents Garry and Barbara Wilson of Perry, OK; great-grandmother Evelyn Fisher of Stillwell, OK; nieces and nephews Matt, Annie, Libby, and Ladd Casteel of Lucien, OK and Taylor and Lukas Rich of Perry, OK. Uncle Ricky Wilson and wife Kelly of Lucien, OK; Aunt Tammy Wheeler and husband Brent of Broken Arrow, OK; cousins Ryan and Jami Wheeler of Broken Arrow, OK.

Roxann is preceded in death by grandfather Jimmy Hunt.
