October 8, 1959 – September 19, 2018

Roger Doyle Rowe of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday morning, September 19, 2018, in the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 58 years.

Roger was born on October 8, 1959, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Harold and Lorene (Crawford) Rowe. He attended and graduated Blackwell Public Schools. On August 17, 1979, he married Terri Jenkins in Blackwell and they continued to live in Blackwell where they raised their three children.

Roger enjoyed his many years in the oilfield, but farming was always his passion. Prior to his passing, he was farming for Gene Whittum. Though Roger had no avid hobbies, he would say he was “the jack of all trades and the master of none.” His favorite pastime included spending time with family, friends and good music. His smile and love for these things well never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Rowe of Blackwell; two daughters, Tiffany Bennett and husband Cody of Blackwell and Rachel Hundley and husband Dustin of Ponca City; a son, Dayton Rowe of Edmond; five sisters, Diane Spry and companion David Minor of Blackwell, Verla Webb and husband Craig of Blackwell, Marilyn Dyer of Winfield, Kansas, Kay Rohrs and husband David of Blackwell, and Gail Cunningham of Blackwell; two brothers, Troy Rowe and wife Phyllis of Blackwell and Darrell Rowe and wife Linda of Ponca City; brother-in-laws, Rodney Jenkins and wife Tammy of Ponca City, Allan Jenkins of Kearney, Nebraska, and Gary Jenkins and wife Jynda of Ponca City; seven grandchildren, Damian, Taylor, Jacob, Aidan, Kayla, Gabbie and Charlee Doyle; and many beloved nieces and nephews; along with his honorary brothers, Richard Snyder, Butch Pappan, Gene Whittum, Jon Ebert, Monte Moyer, Andy Angle and Jeff Love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Rowe; his mother, Lorene Petree; and his step-mother, Pauline Rowe.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 24th in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Nardin.
