Richard M. Folsom, 67, of Perry, Oklahoma was born on November 27, 1954 in Perry, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Abner and Helen Lousie (Albright) Folsom. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Perry, Oklahoma.

He grew up in Perry, and Stillwell, Oklahoma for most of his life. He graduated from Lomega High School in 1973. After high school Richard began his career at Ditch Witch. While at Ditch Witch, he influenced so many people during his time there. He worked there until his retirement on December 31, 2018 after 45 years, 4 months, and 4 days.

On July 16, 1975, Richard married the love of his life, Roni Faye Baetz. To this union four children were born, Mindy, Cody, Jessica, and Kassy. He loved spending time with each of his children. His family was everything to him. Richard was known for his calls and text to his family members for their birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.

Richard enjoyed talking to his many friends, spending time with his livestock, and enjoying the outdoors. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Perry, Oklahoma, where he served as an elder.

Visitation will be held at Trout Funeral Home Funeral Home, 1408 N 7th, Perry, Oklahoma beginning on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. William Metz will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Cherishing his memory is his wife, Roni Folsom, of the home; children, Mindy Folsom, of Glencoe, Oklahoma, Cody Folsom, of Perry, Oklahoma, Jessica Knox and her husband, Lidy of Perry, Oklahoma, and Kassy Groom and her husband, Matt of Perry, Oklahoma; Grandson, Jett Groom; his siblings, Ann Givens of Perry, Oklahoma, Willa Dean Coker of Perry, Oklahoma, Hope Sparks and husband Jimmy of Natural Dam Arkansas, Frank Folsom Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Marty Rother and husband Mike of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He is also survived numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Helen Folsom, sister Sue Crews and husband John, brother William Glen Folsom, brother in laws George Givens, Bill Stover. Also proceeded in death by a very special sister in law Jana Potter.
