(July 30, 1956 – October 11, 2015)

Rebecca Jarine Morahan, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. At the age of 59.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the First Christian Church with Reverend Larry B. Metzer officiating. Burial will then follow at the Resthaven Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma . Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Becky was born on July 30, 1956 to Gene T. Morahan and Patricia C. Peak in Oklahoma City, OK.

She was baptized in the First Christian Church Ponca City, OK at the age of 12. In the 80’s she ran a home daycare until moving to Wichita in 1986. She was a wonderful homemaker where she spent lots of time with her love of cooking. Becky enjoyed working in her children’s school cafeteria when they were young. She also continued her home daycare for many years.

Before moving back to Ponca City in 2009 she was passionate about her work for Mental Health Association in Wichita Kansas where she worked with children and mental health issues. In 2010 she became co-owners with her sister Julie, in J and B Partners, LLC where they own Sun ‘n Fun Waterpark.

Becky had a huge heart, always thinking about her children, grandchildren, sisters and her mother with whom she enjoyed spending time these last few years since returning to Ponca City.

Her family will miss her potato salad in the summer, her potato casserole at Easter, her fabulous chocolate chip cookies and her cinnamon rolls at Christmas.

Becky was a loving mom, nana, daughter and sister.

She is survived by son, Jeremy Webb and his wife Ashley and sons, Britten and Cole of Ponca City, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer Hobbs and sons Carter and Breckin of Ponca City, Oklahoma; son, Joel Webb of Ponca City, Oklahoma; mother, Pat Morahan of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sister Gail Novak and husband Pat of Enid, Oklahoma; sister, Julie Sheffield and husband Todd of Ponca City, Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by father, Gene Morahan.
