January 3, 1963 – August 11, 2019

Raymond Leroy Robinson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday, August 11, 2019, at his home in Blackwell at the age of 56 years.

Raymond Leroy Robinson was born on January 3, 1963, to Richard Hall and Alma Jenice (Norton) Robinson. He attended Aline – Cleo Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1981. Following his education he entered the Oklahoma National Guard and later served in Iraq during Desert Storm. Following his deployment, he returned to Blackwell and worked for eighteen years at Oklahoma Investment Castings Corporation. Following ill health he worked for Marlin Kahle processing meat and assisting with the farming operation until he retired in June of 2019. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and participating in rodeos.

He is survived by three daughters, Candace Johnston of Lahoma, Nikki Merritt of Minnesota, and Asia; a son, Raymond Robinson Jr.; three sisters, Nan Reihm of Guthrie, Bobbi Bergman of Blackwell, and Jovana Robinson of El Reno; a brother, Randy Robinson of Camargo; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Thelma Trammell; a brother, Rick Robinson; and a granddaughter.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later time.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City, in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
