Raymond Eugene Martinez

May 21, 1999 – March 9, 2024

“Ray Ray” Marinez, lifelong resident of Blackwell, passed away on March 9, 2024 in Citrus Heights, CA at the age of 24.

On May 21, 1999, Ray was born in Modesto, CA to Melissa McPhee. At the age of 9 months, Ray lost his mother. He was adopted and raised by his maternal grandmother, Carol Martinez.

Ray grew up in Blackwell, where he graduated from High School in 2018.

After graduation he attended Northern Oklahoma College. He had recently his CDL and was working for JB Hunt. “Scoob”, as he was known to many friends, was an amazing son, brother and uncle. He loved skateboarding, learning to play guitar and spending time with his friends and family. A talented artist, Ray enjoyed the art of tattooing and painting. Ray was goofy and loved making people smile. He was a devoted friend and was always looking out for those he loved. He will be greatly missed in the ives of many.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Hernandez of Blackwell; girlfriend, Kaylee Willett; siblings, Jessica Hand of Blackwell, Bradly McPhee of Blackwell, Rachel Martinez of Galveston, TX, Joshua Martinez of CitrusHeights, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa McPhee.

Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23rd in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Family visitation will be on Friday evening, March 22nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
