July 3, 1962 – September 14, 2017

Randy Carl Rhodd passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK .He was 54 years old. He was born on July 2, 1963 in Joplin, Missouri to Carlton Lemel Rhodd, Sr. and Betty Tahsuda Rhodd. He worked as a laborer for the local 107 union for many years. He enjoyed singing tribal songs and discussing the old ways of the tribe. He was a Ponca historian learning the old ways from the elders. He is a member of both the Ponca Tribe and the Comanche Nation. His Ponca name was Monh-zhonh nonh-p’ah zhee (Afraid of No Land). Although Randy was never married he was loved by many. He had a big family. He is survived by his sisters Debra Presa and Althea Rhodd both of Tulsa, sisters Carla Carney, Candace Rhodd,and Carlene Rhodd all of Ponca City; one brother Eagle Ehodd of Ponca City; a grandson Levi Billie of Florida ; and a niece Bettie Sandoval of Tulsa; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Carlton Rhodd, Jr., and one sister Carleda Rhodd.

A feast will begin at noon on Sunday and a giveaway will follow. The Funeral will being after the giveaway and burial will follow at Ponca Indian Cemetery at approximately 2:00 p.m.
