Randy Lee Mollet

(February 12, 1964 – March 15, 2017)

Randy Lee Mollet passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 53.

He was born to Adolph C. and Patricia Mollet on February 12, 1964 in Ponca City, OK. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1982 and continued his education at Northern Oklahoma College, where he graduated in 1984 with an Associate’s Degree in Business.

Randy began his 15 year career with Sherwin Williams in 1982 at the Ponca City store and later transferred to the Stillwater store as Assistant Manager. After several years there, he was then promoted to Manager of the store in Pauls Valley. He moved back to Ponca City in 1998 and began his 13 year career as a route driver for Schwann’s in southern Kansas and the Ponca City area. His crazy personality was loved by all of his customers, and more so, by Michelle Johnson, who became the love of his life and his wife. Randy was working as the Commercial Sales Manager for Auto Zone at the time of his death. Randy had a passion for his 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang, OU football, outdoor grilling and time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Mollet of Ponca City, and daughters, Hope Johnson of Ponca City, and Robyn Johnson of Nowata. His mother Pat Mollet of Ponca City, brother Mike Mollet and wife Brenda of Ponca City, sister Lori Horn and husband Max of Ponca City. Nieces Lindsi and Kalley Mae Horn of Ponca City, Amanda Oldham of Oklahoma City and nephew Jay Johnson of Norman. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Adolph (Duff) Mollet in 2007. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 @2pm in the Chapel of Trout Funeral Home in Ponca City. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested. Casket bearers will be Mike Mollet, Max Horn, Rocky Schoonover, Mike Wallace, Oscar Gomez and Scott Miller. The family will be at Trout Funeral Home Monday from 4-6 pm to receive friends and family.
