Raleigh Colburn

February 2, 1939 — March 26, 2024

Raleigh Colburn, 85, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on March 26, 2024. He entered this world on February 2, 1939.

He married Wanda Thrasher on September 7, 1990, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, going cruising in Newkirk, and was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Ponca City. He was an airplane engine mechanic for G.E. and retired in 2000.

Those left behind to cherish Raleigh’s memory are his wife Wanda Colburn of the home; daughters Tami Epperson of Miami, OK and Tina Colburn of Tulsa, OK; bonus daughter Tanya and husband Michael Hilbert of Ponca City; and his sister Emma of Euless, TX. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Teri, sons Tony, John Newell, and Bill Roy Colburn and his sister Carol.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2024, 1 p.m., at the Newkirk City Cemetery with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.
