She went to work in 1966 as a sales clerk for Zale’s Jewelers, when Zales closed she was then employed by Gose Jewelers until the store was closed in 1988. She loved talking to her customers and keeping up with all the downtown gossip. After she retired she enjoyed watching her favorite soaps ”Days of Our Lives” and ”The Young and the Restless” and collecting recipes, but nothing mattered more to her than spending time with and helping take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents and grandparents; her brother Gene Brien; brother-in-laws Rollo Wilson and Dale Chapman; son-in-laws Jimmy Russell and Steve Hunt and great-grandson Darrian Russell.
