Oresa Hilda (Williams) McKnight

November 18, 1953 ~ November 22, 2020 (age 67)

Oresa Hilda McKnight, 67, of Ponca City, OK, born to Parrish and Eunice Williams on November 18, 1953, left this world and gained her angel wings on November 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.

Oresa attended Marland Schools and graduated. She lived at the family homestead with her eldest brother Curtis Williams. While in Texas she met the love of her life John Willian McKnight. At first Resa gave John a run for his money and made him work for her attention while working together. They were married February 24, 1974. In their loving union they had a son, Marcus John McKnight, born January 24, 1975.

Oresa and John attended Hill College together. She obtained her LVN/LPN License. After finishing school, she worked for an Internal Medicine Doctor in Texas until she moved back to Ponca City. She moved back to Ponca City to help care for her mother. She started working for Dr Jackie Garland. She met her sister friends Joy Pascher and Lorena Morris who were also nurses.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Parrish and Eunice Williams, brothers, Rudolph Williams, Paige Williams, Alex Williams, sisters, Arneva Boway and Beulah Sherron, and the love of her life, John William McKnight.

She is Survived by her only son Marcus McKnight and his wife Spring, grandsons, Duncan McKnight and Ethan McKnight, brothers, Curtis Williams, Jim Williams, Zach Williams, sisters, Beverly Picotte, Maxine Thompson and multiple nieces and nephews who she loved as grandbabies, aunts and uncles.

Friends and family will be able to pay their respects at Grace Memorial Chapel from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. The funeral procession will depart from Grace Memorial Chapel at 1:30pm to take Oresa to her place of rest in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery. The graveside service will begin at 2pm Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Pallbearers include her grandsons and nephews.
