Obituary for Nevada Rose Hall

Nevada Rose Hall formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in the Good Shepherd Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years.

Nevada Rose Hall was born on August 18, 1936, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Earl Roy and Myrtle Ann (Banks) Shirley. She attended Blackwell High School graduating in 1954. Following her education she moved to Oklahoma City where she worked as a telephone operator. In 1957 she married Frank Miniaci Sr. in Oklahoma City and they settled at various Air Force Bases where he was stationed. In 1969 she married Max Hall in Blackwell and they made Blackwell their home. She later moved to various places throughout the United States before settling in Ponca City for fifteen years. In July of 2013 she moved to Vinita to make her home and be near her daughter. She enjoyed animals, puzzles, pottery, oil painting and dancing. She also made many of her children’s clothes during their early years.

She is survived by four daughters, Stephanie Jenkins of Ponca City, Jenni Miniaci of Ponca City, Lori Newsome of Blackwell, and Julie Martin and husband Shawn of Vinita; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Frank Miniaci Jr.; two brothers, Sam and Bill Shirley; and a granddaughter, Michelle McKaig.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the family of Nevada Hall serving as officiants.

Honorary casketbearers will be Kim Miniaci, Ethan Miniaci, Bryle Martin, Grant Martin, Cameron Martin, Blaine Martin, Taylor Cline, Shannon Stephens and Jessica Jenkins.
