Natalie Yvette (Smith) Smith

August 8, 1968 ~ October 26, 2021 (age 53)

Natalie Yvette Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin and friend departed this earth on October 26, 2021. She was 53 years old.

Natalie was born to Rosie Mae Dewberry Smith and Nathaniel Smith on August 8th, 1968. She attended Ponca City schools and graduated from Douglass High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1986. She attended Langston University where she made life long friends.

She held various jobs but she was a creative at heart. She loved fashion and decor (She got this from our grandmother Della and our aunt Phyllis). She dressed to the nines and was the life of the party. She had THE BEST laugh! She had a heart of gold and was never afraid to extend her friendship. She was loyal to a fault and fiercely defended her friends and family. If you were riding, SHE WAS RIDING! She was elated when her Grandson Damir was born in 2019. She and Damir have an unbreakable bond. Nat was extremely proud of her daughters Alleygra and Breeonna.

She loved Aunt Cil’s potato salad (we had whole fights over that potato salad!). Nat had a closet and hat collection to be envied. She was just fly! Her and Necole were the best dressed at Lola’s (you better ask somebody!). Nat made you laugh…especially when you weren’t supposed to be laughing! She encouraged, rooted, and fought for us.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Mae and Nathaniel, both sets of grandparents, her brother, George “Boo” Dewberry, and cousin Darrell Harding. She leaves to cherish her memory Daughters Alleygra Smith and Breeonna Smith, Grandson Damir Plater, Brother Ryan Smith, Sister Jean Love, Sister Latoya Smith, and a big ole’ bunch of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends that love her.

Natalie was released from her earthly vessel entirely too soon for us, but at the perfect time for her. We just love her so much.

She was a friend to so many. Nat was never afraid to take risks or try something new.

She lived life free and loud bringing joy to all those around her. And that is how we will honor her. We will live free and loud and dress our tails off while we’re doing it!!
