Nancy was born on January 17, 1957 to Sonny Hall and Arduith Dixon Hall in Ponca City. Nancy enjoyed watching her family grow up. She couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas to come and she would help cook for the kids and family. When she was young, she enjoyed her ponies. She also was fond of traveling all over the country to observe her father working on various pipelines. Her grandma and grandpa Dixon would often take her fishing when she was little, which gave her fond memories of them. Nancy also loved tending to her plants. Nancy graduated from Ponca City High School in 1975. Later, she worked at the Conoco Convenience Store, eventually being promoted to the store manager. Following her time at the convenience store, Nancy became the superintendent at the Thorn Apple Valley chicken plant. Her past times included writing and publishing poems. On January 17, 2000 the International Star Registry renamed star Cygnus RA 19h 22m 29s D 28degrees 11′ to Nancy’s Crystal Star, named after a Poem Nancy Wrote. This name is permanently filed in The Registry’s Vault in Switzerland and recorded in a book registered in the copyright office of the United States of America. Nancy was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Ponca City.
