Nadia Nicole Monteneri

October 19, 1989 – March 22, 2018

Nadia Nicole Monteneri, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away in the early morning of March 22nd, 2018 at the Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida. She was 28 years old.

Nadia was born on October 19th, 1989 in Galveston, Texas, to Crystal and Larry Delaney. After growing up in southern Texas, Nadia moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where she attended Ponca City High School for a brief period before moving to her long-time home of Lawton, Oklahoma.

After moving to Lawton, Nadia began her career as a casino employee. Nadia worked as a floor cashier at Fort Sill Apache Casino for nearly eight years. In the casino not only did she find a job she truly enjoyed, but as fate would have it, she would also find the love of her life there. In 2011, she met Devin Corley, her now fiancé, who was also an employee of Fort Sill Apache Casino. Nadia and Devin dated for many years, and after becoming engaged in 2016, the couple decided to pick up and start a new adventure in the sunny state of Florida, in Port Charlotte the following year. There she worked as a temporary manager at Victoria’s Secret.

Nadia enjoyed many things, like the beach, shopping, gambling, hanging out with friends, getting her nails done, arts and crafts, landscaping and flowers, shark week, playing with her dog Caesar, repurposing furniture, and most importantly spending time with family.

She is survived by her fiancé, Devin Corley of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister, Brittany Delaney of Ponca City, Oklahoma; one brother, Vincent Monteneri of Warren, Ohio; a step mother, Sally Delaney of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three step siblings; and many other extended family members as well as friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Delaney; her mother, Crystal Delaney; and her grandparents.

There will be two services held in her memory. The first service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20th at the Whinery Huddleston Funeral Home in Lawton, OK. The second service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell, OK.
