Michael Ray Price

February 26, 1955 – January 26, 2018

Michael Ray Price died in his home on Friday, January 26, 2018 surrounded by his four children and the love of his life.

Mike was born February 26, 1955 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Mitchell Price III and Anna Lee Chesnut Price Salisbury. He had one older brother, Mitchell Price IV. Mike graduated Ponca City high school in 1973. During high school and college, he was a remarkable athlete, dominating the football field and wrestling mat. This passion carried throughout his life and gave him a career in sports radio broadcasting, coaching peewee sports and attending all of his kids and grandkids sporting events.

Mike married Donna Lee Eakins Price in 1978 and together they had four children: Randi, Jerika, Ben, and Callie. Mike enjoyed cars, trucks, 4wheelers…anything that had wheels and could go fast. He managed and owned several car dealerships, including Mike Price Ford of Blackwell and Tonkawa. Mike enjoyed cooking, particularly BBQ, and always had something for you to try if you came over for a visit.

Later in life he met his love, Brenda Hunt Long. They enjoyed going to flea markets to look for antiques, working side by side together and telling stories while driving around in the country.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell Price III and Anna Lee Salisbury and older brother Mitchell Price IV. He is survived by his four kids: Randi Price of Tonkawa, Jerika Hobza of Conway Springs, Kansas, Ben Price of Blackwell, and Callie Price of Tonkawa; six grandkids, Tripp Briggs, Tayton Hazelwood, Piper Price, Beau Hobza and Kingsley and Cruz Goff; and his love Brenda Long.
