August 31, 1948 – October 4, 2018

Melanie Jean “Jeanne” Specht longtime Ponca City resident went to be with her heavenly father on October 4, 2018 in Ponca City OK. She was 70 years of age. Jeanne was born on August 31, 1948 in Coffeyville, KS to Tim and Virginia Edinger Duggan.

Graveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Cedar Vale City Cemetery in Cedar Vale, Kansas with Father Carson Krittenbrink officiating.

Jeanne grew up attending Coffeyville schools and moved to Shidler, OK in 1962. She later moved to Ponca City and was employed by Titus which later became ASC, due to failing health she retired. Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to her two grandsons Rodeos and granddaughter’s basketball games. She was not hesitant about letting those around her know who her grandkids where at each event.

Survivors include: 1 son; Danny Box of Sapulpa, OK 1 daughter: Teri Leigh Sawyers and husband Robert of Ponca City, OK 1 sister; Debbie Phelps and husband Steve of St. Loui, MO 1 brother; Timothy Duggan of Derby, KS Also surviving are 3 grandchildren; Colter Orcutt and wife Heather of Newkirk, OK Caulin Orcutt of Shidler, OK and Karsyn Turk of Newkirk, OK and 1 great granddaughter; Hadlee Orcutt of Newkirk, OK

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister: Janet Lewman and 3 grandsons.
