Loretta Phyliss McCoy

(June 16, 1940 – April 1, 2016)

Loretta McCoy went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2016, in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Loretta is survived by Bart McCoy of Benton, AR, Don (Wanda) McCoy of Purcell, OK, Lauralea (Randy) Corley of Farmington, NM, and Brian McCoy of Searcy, AR. Her grandchildren, Sara, Lindsey, Amaris, Amy, Alisha, Abby, Karalea, Juliann, Joshua, Breanna, Kristiann, Jason, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jade. And numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Velma Johnson, her great-grandparents, Phil and Bonnie Bell Bateman, her husband, JB McCoy, and her daughter, Julie.

She was born in Ponca City Oklahoma on June 16, 1940 to Carlos and Velma Johnson. On October 10, 1959 she married JB McCoy. They went on to have five children, Julie, Bart, Don, Lauralea, and Brian. They loving raised two grandchildren, Sara and Lindsey, as their own.

At the age of 16, she accepted Jesus as her Savior. With hopeful anticipation, she waited for the day that she would be reunited with her Savior and her family. The joy in her life was spending time with and serving her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was extremely generous and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Trout Funeral Home in Ponca City from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The Hope Chapel in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
