June 5, 1941 – December 30, 2015

Lloyd Lee Wells, 74, of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK

Lloyd was born June 5, 1941 in Ponca City, one of seven children of Emery Osborn Wells and Emily (Hobson) Wells. He and Charlotte Epperson were married in Ponca City on June 2, 1961 and had celebrated over 54 years of marriage at the time of his death.

A Licensed Journeyman Plumber, he had worked in the plumbing field for over 38 years. He was a hardworking man and it was pretty unusual to find him sitting still.

Camping with the family, dancing, listening to music, and playing Bingo were way up on the list of things he liked to do, but family and activities with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always topped the list, and he will be missed by all. A trip to Las Vegas always brought a sparkle to his eyes. Favorite possessions have to include his ”Kubota” tractor and grass did not stand a chance when he was riding his Kubota. His dogs also held a special place in his heart.

Lloyd is survived his wife Charlotte; his children, sons Larry Wells, Danny Wells and wife Lucy, and daughter Shelley Summitt and husband Greg; grandchildren Matt Wells, Cody Wells, Josey Wells, Chris Wells, Dalton Wells, Gregory and Nora Summitt, Kyle Summitt (USAF), Dylan Summitt (USMC), and Sasha Keys; great-grandchildren Leland Wells, Layne Cross, Ozzie Cameron, Oliver Keys, Jaylen Summitt, Liana Summitt, Ameya Summitt, Jett Summitt,Landyn Summitt, and Karsyn Summitt; siblings Floyd Wells, Ronnie Wells, Emery Wells, Mary Ferguson, Patty Whiting, and Howard Wells. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
