Lila Mae Meyer of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in the Ponca City Nursing and Rehab after a short illness at the age of 90 years.

Lila Mae Meyer was born on January 26, 1929, in South Haven, Kansas, to Guy and Anna (Pattenburg) Riley. She attended Braman Public Schools. On June 4, 1952, she married George Everett Meyer in Tulsa and settled for a short time in Ponca City before moving to Kildare. Lila worked at a number of local businesses before her final and favorite job as bookkeeper for Brandts Hardware in Ponca City. In 1974, George and Lila moved to the family farm in Braman. She remained on the farm until George’s death in 2000, when she moved to Ponca City to make her home.

She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Engelking and husband Rae of Ponca City; three sons, Alvin D. Meyer and wife Linda, Kenny E. Meyer and wife Marilyn, and Curtis E. Meyer and wife Karen, all of Ponca City; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Scott Meyer.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 16th in the Braman Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her honor with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
