Her enjoyments included her family, traveling the country with her husband in their earlier retirement years, enjoying time with her grandchildren, crocheting, baking and cooking. She was active in the PTA when her daughters were in school and very active in the church. She always had a smile on her face and would wave to the other residents of the nursing home. She was a very well loved and respected woman in the community.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl and husband Wesley Carpenter of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Beverly and husband Richard Montgomery of Lynden, Washington, grandson Andrew Carpenter, granddaughters Shaina (Randy) Underwood, and Shannon (Robert) Underwood, one sister Grace (Clarence) McKee, two brothers George Cockrum and James E.
