Larry William Gough

September 25, 1953 – June 1, 2018

Larry William Gough, of Ponca City, passed away at his home Friday, June 1, 2018. He was 64. Larry was born in Ponca City on Sept. 25, 1953, the son of Earnest William Gough and Doris Mildred Callahan Gough, both formerly of Ponca City. He graduated from Ponca City High School.

On a postcard left in a file under his name at The Ponca City News, Larry writes: “From, Larry Gough, PC News – little boy photographer for Gareth Muchmore – 1968-1969. Projectionist at Poncan Theater 1971, 15-years-old. Professional drummer, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas 1973 to 2001. Ponca News Circulation, to 2017. Bless our Church and the Lord.”

In 1979 he managed the supply room for Blue Bell Wrangler Jeans Company in Seminole and was also formerly employed for General Motors. He was currently employed in the circulation department at The Ponca City News.

He is survived by his brother, Wayne Gough, of Florida and Barbara Gough, of Colorado.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest, in October of 1994 and his mother, Doris, in March of 2001; paternal grandparents, William T. and Madeline Rhodes Gough and maternal grandparents, Orville Palmer “O.P.” Callahan (former Ponca City mayor) and Myrtle Edwards Callahan.

No service will be held. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to your favorite charity.

Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
