LaQuita Joy Miller

(August 17, 1936 – December 22, 2016)

LaQuita Joy Miller of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died early Thursday morning, December 22, 2016, at her home at the age of 80 years.

LaQuita Joy Miller was born on August 17, 1936, in Gentry, Arkansas, to Leonard Allen and Iva Marie (Allen) Feaster. As a baby, she moved with her family to Winfield, Kansas, where she grew up and attended Winfield Public Schools. In 1954 she married Otis Dean Hull and they settled in Winfield. In 1958 she began working for the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center as a dietary aide and worked there for over thirty-nine years. She enjoyed shopping, watching television, solving word puzzles and having her hair fixed by Mary Toney each week. Her greatest love came from cooking for her family and caring for Mr. Wizard.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Caldwell of Blackwell; a son, Don Hull of Derby, Kansas; five grandchildren, Christian Pannell and wife Jackie of Blackwell, Abe Hull and wife Jamy of Tucson, Arizona, Justin Deruy and wife Stephanie of Lenexa, Kansas, Bo Pannell of Blackwell, and Tyler Hull and wife Bridgette of Derby, Kansas; thirteen great grandchildren, Mariah Rhea of Blackwell, Braxton Rhea of Ponca City, Katelynn Rhea of Blackwell, Rebecca Rhea of Texas, Daniel Duarte of Blackwell and Tay’vion Moore of Blackwell, Brandon Nichols of Ponca City, Cole Pannell of Tonkawa, Payton Pannell of Blackwell, Sean Hull of Tucson, Jake Hull of Tucson, Easton Deruy of Lenexa, and Cooper Deruy of Lenexa; two great great grandchildren, Westyn Rhea of Blackwell and Asher Rhea of Ponca City; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wilbert Allen Feaster; four sisters, Ruth O’Conner, Dorothy Feaster, Mary Turner and Leona Mann; a grandson, Noah Pannell; and a great grandson, Baby Elijah Walton.

Private family services were held in the Blackwell Cemetery.
