Kenneth O’Dell Conely, 89, of Burbank, OK, left this life on August 16, 2023, at Via Christi Village in Ponca City, OK. No viewing is scheduled at this time. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Blackburn Cemetery, Blackburn, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Kenneth was born in Blackburn, OK, on December 26, 1933. He went to school in Blackburn and graduated from Ponca City High School. After graduating, he went to work at Boeing Aircraft and met the love of his life, Kitty Storey. They were married on April 11, 1953, and lived in Wichita, KS. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Shortly after getting married, he was drafted into the US Army and served his country in Munich Germany. After a honorable discharge, he served in the Army Reserve for 4 years.

They moved to Ponca City and Ken worked for Conoco in the Research and Development Department until retirement. While working, and after retirement, he road his bicycle faithfully and logged many miles. He loved hunting, camping and riding motorcycles. They would make an annual trip to his favorite spot on the Conejos River in Colorado. He was always ready for a road-trip and never met a stranger.

After retirement, Kenneth and Kitty moved to a home in Osage County and enjoyed their grandkids, pets and the outdoors. Kenneth served on the McCord Senior Citizens board and volunteered. He served as deacon at Liberty Baptist Church where he attended for many years.

Kenneth is survived by: his wife, Kitty; a son, Kendall and daughter-in-law, Shari of Ponca City; daughter, Cindy Epperson and son-in-law, Rick of Sedan, KS. He was very proud of his 6 grandkids: Kyle (Lindsay) Epperson, Kaci (Andy) Fouts, Camille (Luke) Green, Kameron Conely, Connor Epperson, Kistna Sky Conely. He had 4 great-grandkids: Arlo and Beau Fouts, Penny and Lucy Green. He is also survived by one brother, Les Robinson; cousins; nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by: his parents, Logan and Viola Robinson; two sisters and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Via Christi and Hospice of North Central Oklahoma for the care and support they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
