John B Rouse, Jr.

October 19, 1944 – July 11, 2022

John B Rouse, age 77, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away July 11, 2022 at Stillwater Medical Center, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. John was born on October 19, 1944 in Arkansas City, Kansas to John and Lucille (Roley) Rouse. He was the youngest of three siblings, little brother to big sisters, Wilma and Bonnie.

He grew up in Arkansas City, Kansas and graduated from Ark City High School in 1962. He married Karen (Williams) Rouse in 1967. They moved to Perry, OK in 1977 where he began working as a gauger for Total Petroleum. Both of his children were raised in Perry and graduated from Perry High School.

After retiring from Total, John worked in the shop at Ditch Witch. The thing he appreciated most about that job was the people he worked with and the amazing relationships he established while there! His favorite pastimes were fishing, bird hunting, and playing golf at Perry Country Club. He absolutely loved to take his buddies hunting anytime they wanted to come along. And truly, his favorite thing about quail and pheasant hunting was watching the Brittanys he raised do THEIR part. He was always so proud of how well they performed. Raising puppies all of those years was a HUGE part of life for him.

Survivors include: his son, JB Rouse and Cheryl McDonald; daughter, Melissa and Todd Fouche; and two granddaughters, Tatum and Carter Fouche. John is preceded in death by his BELOVED parents, John and Lucille Rouse. When other young twenty-something couples were hanging out with friends their own age, Johnny and Karen were playing cards and fishing on the Chikaskia River in southern Kansas with the whole family!

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry, 1408 N 7th St, Perry, OK 73077. We invite you to leave a message of condolence, expression of sympathy or perhaps share a memory of John at www.troutperry.com.
