Jeff was born to his parents, Nonnie and Rose Rowe on July 27, 1972, in Blackwell, OK. Shortly after his parent’s divorce in 1978, Jeff came to reside with his dad and step-mom in Ponca City. During his grade school and junior high years, Jeff attended the Opportunity Center. He then attended Ponca City High School, graduating in 1993. He also completed culinary classes at Pioneer Vo-tech.

After graduation, Jeff worked various jobs, but found his favorite job to be a sacker at Miller’s Market. He worked there for over 19 years, through all transitions of ownership: Miller’s Market, United and Food Pyramid. (Always correcting us when we called it by the wrong name).

In 1998, Jeff moved into the system of the Opportunity Center Group Homes. This move made Jeff’s personality bloom! He learned to use sarcasm, interact with diverse people and become a responsible adult. He took great pride in living on his own, having a job and making his own money.

Besides working, Jeff enjoyed a variety of activities. He loved listening to country music, watching WWE wrestling and NASCAR, going out to eat with his house mates, and participating in Special Olympics. But above all, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family. Prior to his declining health, he would choose to spend the weekends with his Uncle Bruce and Aunt Mary, one of his sisters or at Maw and Dad’s. Family was everything to Jeff!

Jeff is survived by his parents, Nonnie and Doris Rowe, siblings, Nonnie Rowe, Jr. (Shawn), Tina Dold, Delta (Rick) Sprueill and Casey (Dondi) Rowe. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins, all that will cherish his memory.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Sutton and his grandparents.

Casket bearers are Kevin Rowe, Jason Rowe, Jared Rowe, Mark Huster, Rand Hall, and Devon Valencia. Honorary casket bearers are the staff of the Opportunity Center.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Opportunity Center and especially to the staff of the Greenbriar Home. Words cannot begin to covey how much we appreciate the care that was given to Jeff. Not only during the last few months, but for all of his years living there. He truly loved all of you!

The family would also like to thank Hospice for the care and compassion provided to Jeff during his last days.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Jeff’s name to either Opportunity Center,2225 N. Union, Ponca City, OK 74601 or Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 44 Fairview Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.
