Obituary for Jared Eggers

Jared Lee Eggers of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, died Friday, July 24, 2014, near Drury, Kansas, at the age of 16 years.

Jared Lee Eggers was born on May 25, 1999, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Jeffrey Allen Thompson and Ericka DeAnn Eggers. He grew up and attended school in Ponca City, Blackwell, Wichita, Kansas, and Tonkawa where he was currently a junior at Tonkawa High School. In May of 2014 he was nominated because of academic promise and leadership abilities to participate in a careers in law and C.S.I. forum. He enjoyed archery, fishing, four wheeling, swimming and skate boarding. He also enjoyed and was noted for his abilities in art.

He is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Mark Turner of Tonkawa and Dani Lynn Gonterman of Kingfisher; maternal grandparents, Deanna Senseman and husband Chris of Ponca City and Gary Eggers of Tonkawa; two sisters, Chrissy Eggers of Ponca City and Victoria Carlisle of Tulsa; and two brothers, Gavin Eggers of Wichita, Kansas, and Tallan Thompson of Tahlequah.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30th in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blackwell with Rev. Ned Moerbe officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be Timmy Dewitt, Neal McMartin, David Epperly, Dakota Wilkins, Eric Dowling, and Benny Butler. Honorary casketbearers will be Brandon Butler, Tallan Thompson and Destinee Wilkins.
