Obituary for Janice Duplissey

Janice Diane Duplissey, resident of Newkirk, Oklahoma, passed away on December 24, 2014, at Ponca City Medical Center. Janice was 53 years old.

The service will be held 2:00 pm at Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, with Frank Mundy officiating. Burial will then follow at Newkirk Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Janice was the daughter of Jack Reed and Bonnie (Rowland) Reed. She was born on May 15, 1961 in Vicenza, Italy. She married Bart Ryan Duplissey on June 1, 2001 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with friends and family. Her hobbies include gardening, crocheting, embroidering, as well as studying Cherokee culture and language.

She is survived by her husband, Bart Duplissey of Newkirk; Daughters; Dena McMurray and husband Wes McMurray of Fairfax; Dana Suggs and husband Sean Suggs of Ponca City; Kristina Dean and her husband Nick Dean of Shidler, Son; Robert Vaden, Jr. and wife Lee Vaden of Louisburg, KS; step-son, Matthew Duplissey and wife Miranda Duplissey ; and step-daughter, Terra Johns and husband Jeremy Johns all of Ponca City; her parents Jack and Bonnie Reed of Pawhuska; her sister Alice Massey and Ray Havens of Fairfax; her brothers Dewayne Reed and wife Cordelia Reed of Burbank; Jack Reed of Watonga and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother.

Casket bearers will be Nick Dean, Jeremy Johns, Jordan McMurray, Dannie Suggs, Brett Duplissey, and Robert Vaden, Sr.
