Obituary for Inez Stebbins

Inez Josephine Stebbins of Blackwell, Oklahoma died Tuesday evening, March 18, 2014, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years.

Inez Josephine Stebbins was born on August 29, 1920 in Medford, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Fredrick and Etta (Bellin) Currier. She married Everett Earl Stebbins on September 1, 1940, in Enid, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1997. They made their home in Rural Nardin, Oklahoma, and later moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma, in 1964. She enjoyed painting and drawing, going for rides and out to eat, strawberry ice-cream from Braum’s, and she enjoyed spending time with people. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Trisha Ann Jaco and husband Jeff of Norman, Oklahoma; one grandson, Stephen Wayne Stebbins of Oklahoma City; two great grandchildren, Colton and Caylee Jaco; four nieces, Connie Matsen and husband Steve, Debbie Luper, Cindy Smith and Bedda Hodgson; three nephews, Nick Currier and wife Becky, Allen Currier and Don Currier; several great nieces and nephews; one brother, Willie C. Currier and wife Linda of Augusta, Kansas; and friend and caretaker, Fern Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Stephen Douglas Stebbins, two brothers, Charles Currier, and Leroy; and two sisters, Eunice, and Lorraine.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Church of Christ, Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Matthew Sloan, Church of Christ, Blackwell, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Casketbearers will be Rex Hibdon, Nick Currier, Stephen Stebbins, Jeffrey Jaco, David Kersey, and Randy Lenaburg.

Honorary casketbearers will be Connie Matsen, Steve Matsen, Larry Larimore, Rosemarie Larimore, and Bruce Dale.
