May 15, 1929 – October 24, 2017

Reverend Homer L. Rogers of Ponca City, OK went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. He was 88 years old. He was born on May 15, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas and grew up in the area. His parents were Robert Vernon Rogers and Nora Alice Ficus Rogers. He attended Bethany Penial College, now Southern Nazarene University. While there, he met Vera Nadine Hall and the two were married. Together they built a home in Oklahoma. They raised two boys and two girls with love and understanding. Homer lived a long life full of love and laughter. Those who knew loved him dearly. He will be missed forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years, daughter Debra Rogers Wallace and grandson Jeremy Wallace, as well as his beloved granddaughter Audrey Wallace from Cleo Springs, Siblings Martha Rogers Murrow, Jimmie Dean Rogers, Clarence Rogers and Barbara Rogers.

He is survived by daughter Becky Lynn Rogers Wallace of Cleo Springs, son Steven L. Rogers of Ponca City, son Michael L Rogers also of Ponca City, 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2917 at the ST Luke’s Church of the Nazarene located at 1715 E. Prospect ave in Ponca City, at 2:00 p.m . Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery in Osage County.
