August 2, 1939 – December 13, 2019

Helen Marie Hartz, 80, of Billings, Oklahoma, left this life, surrounded by her loving family, on December 13, 2019. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2019, and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2019, at Trout Funeral Home in Perry, OK. A Rosary Ceremony will take place at 6:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Billings, OK, with viewing from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with burial at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Perry. Father Bala Raju Pudota will officiate.

Helen was born on August 2, 1939, in Fairmont, OK, to Jerry Joseph and Josephine (Hladik) Houska. She was raised, attended school and was married in Billings, OK, to Robert Hartz on September 7, 1957. She loved being able to raise her children. She later worked as a secretary for the family business, R & H Hardware and Lumber. Helen was also a tag agent in Billings for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Billings.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Donna Nightengale and her husband, Steve, of Billings, Theresa Brewer and her husband, Brent, of Hunter, OK; son, Ricky Hartz and his wife, Janet, of Billings; grandchildren, Erica Nightengale, of Billings, Brady Brewer of Lafeyette, IN, Dillon Hartz and his wife, Hope, of Billings; siblings, Tom Houska of Perry, OK, Lucy Shedeck and her husband, Milo, of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Houska and his wife, Jean Sue, of Perry, Phyllis McIlvaine and her husband Jim of Perry, several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Josephine Houska and her sister, Adella Thompson.

Casket bearers will be Dillon Hartz, Brady Brewer, Greg O’Laughlin, John Baker, Mike Bobbitt and Kelly Rupp.
