Hanan Whitney

January 10, 1953 – December 24, 2020

Hanan Whitney (Nazzal), 67, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away December 24, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, Blackwell, OK.

She was born in Zarqa, Jordan, on January 10th, 1953. She moved to Germany in 1971, where she eventually married and had two girls before making her way to the United States in 1980.

Hanan is survived by two children: Claudia Whitney, of California; and Julia Whitney, of Kansas. Four grandchildren also survive her.

She leaves behind many beautiful memories. One of her favorite things to say was, “God will not close one door without opening another.” She believed that everything happened for a reason and encouraged her family to see the blessing in every situation.

As her health declined, her light never dimmed, and she wore her smile like a true warrior.

Her service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home in Blackwell, OK. Face masks are required. Due to Covid, the service will be live streamed. The broadcast can be accessed by visiting www.troutblackwell.com/.com starting at 1:45 PM, and selecting the live stream link in the upper right hand of the homepage.
