June 10, 1920 – July 17, 2018

Francine Vivian Hasselbring, formerly of Braman, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in the Wesley Power Nursing Home in Hutchinson, Kansas, at the age of 98 years.

Francine Vivian Hasselbring was born on June 10, 1920, in Wichita, Kansas, to William Cordial and LaVona (Bruce) Frazier. She grew up in Kay County and graduated from Ponca City High School. She furthered her education by attending Ponca City Beauty School and became a licensed beautician. In 1942 she opened Francine’s Beauty Shop in Braman. On September 8, 1946, she married Chester A. Hasselbring in Braman and she continued to operate her salon until her retirement in the early 1990’s.

In 2004 she moved to Hutchinson, Kansas, to be near her daughter. She was a former member of the First Christian Church in Braman and a current member of New Hope Baptist Church in Hutchinson. She enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Vieyra and husband Hank of South Hutchinson, Kansas; a granddaughter, Anna Marie Fay of Chesapeake, Virginia; a great granddaughter, Morgan Marie Nappi of Chesapeake, Virginia; and a great great granddaughter, Ava Marie Joyce of Chesapeake, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; her parents; and a grandson, Loren Chet Snell.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 23rd in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. Matt Smith of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery.
