July 3, 1932 – August 17, 2016

Floyd Eugene Robertson longtime Ponca City resident passed away Wednesday evening August 17, 2016 in Ponca City. He was 84 years of age. Floyd was born July 3, 1932 in Ponca City, OK to Ezra Mitchell and Martha Margaret Robertson.

Floyd graduated from Ponca City High School in 1951 and he went to work for Mauer- Newer in Arkansas City. He married his high school sweetheart Eleanor Alden in 1952 and shortly after went to work for Phillips Petroleum in Odessa, Texas. He eventually became plant operator in West Texas and Elkhart, Kansas and then operated a Helium plant at Okarche, OK until his retirement in 1992 after 40 years with Phillips.

Floyd & Eleanor had 3 children; 1 son and 2 daughters, Terry Wayne Robertson, Connie Lou and Marci Lynn.

Preceding him in death; Parents, Son; Terry Wayne and granddaughter; Holly Brooke Palomino and 2Brother Ezra Mitchell and LeRoy Robertson.

Survivors include: wife; Eleanor of the Home, 2 daughters: Marci Bye of Ponca City, Ok and Connie Onelio and husband Pat of Wichita, KS. 1 brother: Dennis Robertson and wife Debbie of Ponca City, Ok. 1 sister; Joyce Moulton of Ponca City, OK. 7 grandchildren; Ezra Robertson, Michelle Flory, Jace Coen, Landon Coen, Ginger Lippoldt, Robert Bybee, Samantha Bybee. 10 Great Grandchildren; Dillon Robertson, Haley Shonkwiler, Brooke Cooper, Emma Coen, Clayton Lippoldt, Cayla Lippoldt, Collyn Lippoldt, Taylen Chavez, Casyn Seitsinger – Bybee. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Floyd loved to fish and provided fish for many, many, holidays, birthdays and Family and friends get- together's. He taught his grandchildren and great grandchildren how to fish. He loved his family and really enjoyed taking groceries to each one usually their favorite things and he loved to grocery shop. Floyd was also the cook for the family. He loved his church and he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kaw City, OK which his wife's grandfather started in 1903 which made the church special to him.
