March 19, 1939 – November 11, 2018

Dora Jane Orsburn of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away on November 11th, 2018 at the Ponca City Medical Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years.

Dora Jane Orsburn was born on March 19, 1939, in Neodesha, Kansas. She was the daughter of Ralph and Lucille (Moore) Beard. She grew up in Kansas & Blackwell attending schools in Blackwell. She married Delbert Orsburn on March 28th, 1957, in Blackwell. And they made their home in Blackwell until Delbert was discharged from the Navy, then they moved to Tonkawa. She loved crocheting and her dog, Oscar Mayer Weiner. She also collected dolls. Delbert proceeded in death by her husband, August 1990 and she moved to Blackwell.

She is survived by three daughters , June Fetters of Blackwell, Patricia Urberta of Blackwell, Delana Counterman of Blackwell; one son Kennith Orsburn and wife Cheryl of Blackwell; and thirteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren. And four sisters: Mildred and husband Bill Nash of Blackwell, Mary Beard of Newkirk, Carolyn and husband Larry Bell of Blackwell, and Sarah Dobbins of Ponca City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 17th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cap McIlnay of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Pheasant Hill Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Parkinson’s Association in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
