September 21, 1949 ~ January 29, 2022 (age 72)

Darrell Tah, 72, beloved Husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on January 29, 2022, in Bartlesville, OK. He entered this world on September 21, 1949, in Pawnee, OK, born to Francis Owen Tah and Bernice Nadine Martin Tah.

Traditional noon feast will take place Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Tonkawa Tribal Gymnasium with Mr. Don Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Tonkawa Tribal Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK. Casketbearers will be Jamey Dunlap, Mike Postrach, Matthew Thomison, Ryan Barnes, Chris Salerno and Josh Waffle.

Darrell grew up in Tonkawa and Enid. He met the love of his life Mary A. Ackerman and they were married November 7, 2008 and made their home in Bartlesville, OK. Darrell was a self-employed HVAC Technician for over thirty years in the Bartlesville area and currently worked for the Tonkawa tribe. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, shooting Pool, Sprint Car racing, and playing tennis.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Mary of the home, two daughters; Kim Jensen and husband Barry, Anita Coy and companion Chris Salerno all of Bartlesville, OK two stepchildren; Matthew Thomison and wife Heather of Dewey, OK and Rachel Barnes and husband Ryan of Skiatook, OK eight Grandchildren: Cody Jensen, Jared Jensen, Paige Worth, Christa Mabry, Madi Thomison, Bennett Barnes, Nathan Barnes, and Elliette Barnes. three Great grandchildren; Paisley Lewis, Preston Lewis, and Weston Jensen. Also surviving are his three brothers: Robert Tah, Jim Schreen and wife Heather, and Russell Martin and wife Kelly all of Tonkawa, OK. two sisters; Liz Hockert of Tonkawa, OK and Mary Starr and companion Frankie Williams of Newkirk, OK. Darrell also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Francis Owen Tah II and two brothers in law; Fred Hockert Jr. and Jim Starr, One sister-in-law; Sissy Tah and Aunt Shirley.
