Connie Feathers

(July 22, 1946 – January 14, 2016)

Connie Leann Hunt Feathers, age 69, lifelong resident of Ponca City, passed away January 14, 2016 in Oklahoma City.

A graveside funeral ceremony to gratefully remember her life will be held at 10:00a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery with Pastor John Waterloo of Central Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Connie was born on July 22, 1946 to Emmert L. Hunt and Wanda Williams Hunt in Ponca City, OK. She was raised in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1964. On July 17, 1970 Connie married Elmer Feathers in Newkirk. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Connie was a lady of many words, and quick to share her perspectives. Family and friends did not have to wonder what was on her mind. Her phone stayed up against her ear for much of the day as she made efforts to stay in touch with her family and friends. Connie’s favorite activities involved being outside, especially camping. She also loved her nights out on the town, dancing with her husband.

Survivors include her beloved husband Elmer Feathers of the home, children: Bill Feathers and wife Trish of Tuttle, OK, Robert Lee Feathers of West Virginia, DeAunn Russell and husband Todd of Enid, OK, Shane Feathers and wife Sherry of Ponca City, parents: Wanda and Emmert (Dinty) Hunt of Ponca City, siblings: Ronnie Hunt and wife Pauletta of Ponca City, and Debi Hunt Scott of Ponca City, grandchildren: Colby Feathers and wife Kelly of Ponca City, Chad Feathers and wife Ashley of Tuttle, Ok, Amanda Engster and husband Martin of Ponca City, Trenton Russell of Enid, Siearra Russell of Enid, and Kailey Feathers of Ponca City, and great grandchild, Hudson Feathers of Ponca City.
