October 1, 1982 – January 5, 2024

Colby James Armstrong, also known by his Ponca Native name, WayGah-Sapi, 41, of Boise, ID, and most recently, Kaw City, OK, left this life on January 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. No viewing is scheduled at this time. A Ponca Tribal Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City. A second Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 3024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kaw City, OK. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 1:45 PM for both services. Colby was born on October 1, 1982, in Ponca City, OK, to Sidney Armstrong and Shelli Avey. Colby attended school in Tonkawa, OK, before the family moved to Kuna, ID, where he finished school at Kuna High School. Colby met Amanda Scott of Kuna, ID, and had 2 beautiful daughters, Paelin and Henlie Armstrong. Colby worked in various industries before being employed as an assistant manager for the Idaho Youth Ranch, where he thought of his co-workers as his extended family. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading and watching Oklahoma Sooners.

Colby is survived by: his daughters, Paelin and Henlie, of Kuna, ID; father, Sidney Armstrong and his wife, Angelika, of Ponca City, OK; mother Shelli Avey and her husband, Glenn, of Kaw City, OK; brothers, Clint Armstrong of Tonkawa, OK, Ian Avey and his wife, Amanda, of Duncan, OK, Pascall and his wife, Wendi Blumel of Bartlesville, OK; sister, Janine Barnett of Germany; grandfather, Larry Goodno, Sr., of Peckham, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Bill and Ada Grant and Connie Goodno.
