Obituary for Chleora Tebow

Chleora Kay Tebow of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at her home in Blackwell at the age of 74 years.

Chleora Kay Tebow was born March 12, 1939, in Blackwell to Harlen and Hazel (Stewart) Keener. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. She married Don Niebaum on July 2, 1955, in Reno, Nevada, and they resided in several states while he served in the United States Navy. To this union three children were born, Kimberly, Michael and Lisa. The family later returned to Blackwell to make their home and Chleora attended nursing school where she received her L.P.N. certification. On November 17, 1962, she married Rex Robert Tebow in Kansas and they settled in Medford, Oklahoma. In 1974 they moved to Blackwell and she returned to nursing school at Northern Oklahoma College, along with her daughter Lisa, and received as associate degree in nursing. During her career she worked at various hospitals in Garfield and Kay County. She enjoyed watching old movies and spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Rex Tebow of Blackwell; two daughters, Lisa Rains of Blackwell and Kim Coons and husband Dale of Ponca City; two sons, Tracy Tebow and wife Glenis of Blackwell and Devry Tebow and wife Edie of Abilene, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael; and a granddaughter, Michelle Kay.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell.
