Brenda Kay Hageberg of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, December 10, 2017, at her home at the age of 55 years.

Brenda Kay Hageberg was born on December 21, 1961, in Gravette, Arkansas, the daughter of Klaus and Marylyn Ann (Wittum) Bergman. As a young girl she lived in South Haven, Kansas, where she grew up and attended South Haven Schools. Following the death of her father in 1975, her mother married Wayne Weller and the family made Clay Center, Kansas, there home. She graduated from Clay Center High School. She furthered her education by attending Manhattan Technical School where she received her L.P.N. license. After receiving her certification, she began her medical career at various medical facilities throughout Kansas. In August of 2000, she moved to Blackwell to make her home with her significant other, Rick Buellesfeld, and they enjoyed life together for over seventeen years. She loved serving her family as a homemaker and working in the family businesses. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Blackwell and served as a certified Kay County 4-H volunteer. She enjoyed baking and holiday decorating. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by Rick Buellesfeld of Blackwell; her parents, Wayne and Marilyn Weller of Clay Center, Kansas; two daughters, Janine Hageberg and Nick of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Gayle Hobaugh and Travis of Blackwell; three sons, Tray Hageberg and MacKinzie of Blackwell, Richard Buellesfeld and Suzanne of Blackwell, and Randy Buellesfeld and J-me of Blackwell; three brothers, Randy Bergman and Linda of Columbus, Georgia, Brian Bergman and Cecilia of Clay Center, Kansas, and Justin Weller and Randi of Clay Center, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Jocee, Reid, Ashlynn, Jessica, Raylan, Tristan and Loralie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Klaus Bergman; and grandparents, Herman and Eunice Wittum and George and Lenora Bergman.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13th in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Blackwell with Rev. Mark Mozeik officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Tray Hageberg, Richard Buellesfeld, Randy Buellesfeld, Randy Bergman, Brian Bergman and Justin Weller. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be the Kay County 4-H Livestock Judging Teams.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the American Cancer Society in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
