Betty worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell before staying home to raise her two sons. She returned to work as an operator on Conoco’s switchboard in 1963 and stayed there until her retirement in 1977.

During her working years, Betty managed to hold down a full-time job while driving carloads of kids to ball games, helping Willis feed the cattle and serving up meal after glorious meal. She was tireless. Betty Webb was always the last person to sit down. In retirement, Betty and Willis volunteered thousands of hours at Ponca City Medical Center. She was a pro at handling incoming calls. Betty was a kind soul with the heart of a servant. She put others first. She loved her family and was happiest when surrounded by Willis and the boys, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Betty and Willis shared a love that was felt by everyone around them. They lived as one. Betty was a member of Albright United Methodist for 60 years.
