Arthur Lee Moraine, 88, of Blackwell went to be with Jesus, May 13, 2024, with his loving wife of 65 years and his family by his side.

Arthur was born November 23, 1935, 3 miles east of Osawatomie, Kansas at his home in the country to Cecil Raymond Moraine and Waunita May Moraine. Soon after delivery, his mother placed a crown on his head and lovingly claimed him “King Arthur”.  He grew up in Paola, Kansas, graduating from Paola High School in 1952. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad where he completed a 2-year apprenticeship becoming a certified railroad mechanic and machinist. In 1959 he married the love of his life, Shirley Jean Brewer. In 1963 they moved to Indiana. Arthur graduated from what is now called Indiana Wesleyan University in 1970, later attending Purdue University. Arthur served the Lord through pastoring many churches throughout the years. Together Arthur and Shirley built a legacy of faithfulness unto the Lord. They enjoyed traveling in their retirement, spending winters in their RV with friends at South Padre Island and making wonderful memories in Hawaii. Arthur loved music and could play almost any instrument by ear. He especially enjoyed playing the accordion, guitar, and piano. Arthur was always singing praises to the Lord and bringing joy to his family through song.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Waunita Moraine, his brothers Harold and Ralph Moraine, and grandson Caleb Moraine. His life is celebrated by his surviving family; his loving wife of 65 years, his Shirley; his daughter, Christina (Gene) Collins; sons Mark (Renee) Moraine and Michael (Heather) Moraine.
