Anna Katherine Wilson

February 24, 1916 – December 4, 2015

Anna Katherine Wilson, longtime Ponca City resident, passed away December 4, 2015 in Ponca City at the age of 99 years.

Anna was born February 24, 1916 in Balko, Oklahoma to Estille & Emma Alexander Pugh. She was one of eleven siblings who grew up on a farm where she enjoyed riding horses. She

married Marvin Nash Wilson on September 2, 1937 in Beaver, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 74 years together until his death on December 4, 2011. Their life together was always the two of them. You never saw one without the other whether it be square dancing, league bowling, playing cards, or visiting friends and taking part in the activities at the senior center.

Anna was a perfectionist in everything she undertook; be it an accomplished seamstress making her square dance outfits, a 600 plus bowler, or decorating their home. She was of the Nazarene faith and attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Anna was a member of the Mi -Ju-ve ladies social club for over 60 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Marvin, a great-granddaughter Meghan Wilson, as well as her parents and six brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her two sons, Bill of Amarillo, Texas and Gene and wife, Jessica of Plano, Texas. She is survived by grandchildren, Laraine & Mike Anduza of Corinth, Texas, Wayne & Julie Wilson of Prosper, Texas, and Tim & Cheryl Wilson of Ft. Worth, Texas and Great –grandchildren Christie & Evan Burns of Denton, Texas, Mitchell Wilson of Prosper, Texas and Amber Anduza of Corinth, Texas.

Anna lived a long and happy life. No service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Wheatheart Nutrition Center, 319 West Grand, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
