Obituary for Alfred Parker

Alfred Lee Parker, 79, died on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Ponca City Medical Center. He was born in Blackwell, OK on February 1, 1936 to Alfred (Buss) and Dorothy Mae (Flick) Parker.

He was married to Harriet (Strader) Parker for 53 years. In that time, he was an amazing husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Alfred and Harriet lived in Blackwell for 30 years before moving to Ponca City. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting, camping, and watching old westerns on T.V.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet Parker, son, Jeff Strader Parker of Ponca City, granddaughter, Nicole Parker of Blackwell, grandson, Shane Parker of Tonkawa, granddaughter, Falisha Garroutte of Kansas City, KS, great-grandsons, Kysen Osburn and Logan Osburn of Blackwell, great-granddaughter, Alianna Clonts of Blackwell, great-grandson, Brendan Parker-Garroutte of Kansas City, KS, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Max Parker, and his sister, Peggy Stevens. He will be cared for and cremated by Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City.

A memorial service for Alfred will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
