Lynn Harrison Johnson, 75, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on Saturday, July 26, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Longwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Lynn was born on Saturday, February 18, 1950, in Winfield, KS, to Fred Augustus Johnson and Elizabeth (Chambers) Madderra. He graduated from Ponca City High School, where he was a standout in baseball and participated in other sports, including football. He was also a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.
Lynn had many interests and hobbies, including working on and painting cars, umpiring Little League Baseball, membership in the Corvette Club, participating in a pool league, and being a die-hard OU sports fan. He had a soft spot for all animals, providing a safe and loving home to several rescue pets. His family meant the world to him, and he took great pride in his brothers’ musical careers as well as the accomplishments of each of his sons.
Lynn is survived by: his children, Lt Col (retired) Jason Johnson and his wife, Jennifer, of Landis, NC, SFC (retired) Jeremy Johnson of Winfield, KS, Jeffrey Johnson and his wife, Nikki, of Owasso, OK, Kelby Johnson and his wife, Rita, of Piedmont, OK, David Brown and his wife, Jennifer, of College Station, TX; grandchildren, 1st Lt Eryn Loewe and her husband, 1st Lt Jonah Loewe, Eli Johnson, Sydney Johnson, Adrianne Johnson, Lauryn Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Aubrey Johnson, Amelia Johnson, Hayden Hibbets and his wife, Shelby, Jessica Brown; brother, Keke Johnson and his wife, Pam, of Ponca City, OK; sister, DA Wentworth and her husband, Mike, of El Dorado, KS; and longtime companion, Debbie Stingley of Ponca City, OK.
Lynn is preceded in death by: his parents, brothers, Kent Johnson and Ronnie Johnson, and granddaughter, Angel Rose Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Caleb Johnson, Micah Johnson, Zac Johnson, Chad Colberg, Mark Nichols and Walker Andrews.
