Louisa Bell Spiser

Louisa Bell Spiser of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years.

Louisa Bell Spiser was born on January 4, 1936, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lewis D. Cross and Maudie M. (Heath) Cross. She grew up in Tonkawa, and attended Tonkawa High School. She married James Joseph “Jim” Spiser, and they made their home in Arkansas City, Kansas were worked as a Nurses Aide. Louisa was a member of the First Christian Church in Tonkawa.

Louisa enjoyed cooking, baking bread, reading, and sitting next to her husband while watching old black-and-white westerns, until his passing in 2021. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family.

Louisa was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Doug Cross, Edward Cross, and Richard Cross; one sister, Geneva Teachman; one son, Joe Spiser.

She is survived by two sons: Thomas Spiser and wife Shelley of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Darren Spiser of Winfield, Kansas; five grandchildren: Valerie Albin, Nick Spiser, Zack Spiser, Kaycie Spiser, and Austin Spiser; three great-grandchildren, Maddox, Allie, and Myles; and three sisters: Darlene Ruch, Ila Vorasaph, and Nila Branch.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home – Chapel, with Rev. Sam Simmons officiating. Burial to follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Tonkawa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Oklahoma College Roustabouts c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
