Linda Lee Wilson

Linda Lee Wilson, the greatest wife to Bobby, a wonderful mother to her sons and their friends (both as children and adults), the best grandmother to her grandson, Tyler, and will forever be known as Memaw, died on Monday, January 5, 2026, of natural causes, peacefully with her husband by her side. She was 85. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, January 9, 2026, at First Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Linda was born in Muskogee, OK, on September 5, 1940, to Vernon and Alzina (Bowen) Rogers. She married Robert Wilson on May 23, 1959, at Woodlands Christian Church. She was an elementary school teacher for many years, being Teacher of the Year several times at Garden City, KS, Public Schools and Woodlands Elementary. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and taught Sunday School also.
The weekend of their honeymoon, they went fishing at the Salt Fork River. Their adventures continued with Linda and Bob visiting all 50 states, and Costa Rica. They also traveled to all but 2 of the US National Parks. She and Bob also loved to go on cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska and multiple times to Hawaii. For over 10 years, she was a chaperone for the wrestling team cheerleader squad and traveled with them to out of town tournaments, occasionally. She enjoyed camping, water skiing, and snow skiing. Linda was the life of the party.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bob, of Ponca City; children, Dr. Tommy Wilson and wife, Dr. Jessica Todia-Wilson, of Midland, TX, Johnny Wilson and wife, Laurie, of Ponca City, OK; grandson, Tyler Wilson of Midland, TX; sister-in-law, Shirley Hazelbaker and husband, Jim, of Ponca City, OK; brother-in-law, Melvin Gaddis and wife Iona, of Arkansas City, KS; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Wilson, Chuck and Beverly Schneider; Stan and Saundra Brown, Bill and Marilyn Leming, Mark and Jennifer Webber, and Ron Kreger, MD.
