Kenneth Dillow
August 19, 1951 — July 25, 2025
Kenneth “Kenny” Loyd Dillow passed away on July 25th, 2025, at his home in Shidler, Oklahoma. His wife and family were by his side. Kenny was born to loving parents Virgil Edward Dillow and LeEtta Delena (Alberty) Dillow on August 19, 1951, in Guymon, Oklahoma.
Kenny served in the US Navy from 1970-1974 before transferring to the Naval Reserve. Shortly after he left active service, Kenny would meet the love of his life and marry Peggy (Douglas) Dillow on September 20, 1975, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Together they would start a beautiful family. Kenny was a long-time member of Christian Life Outreach in Kaw City, Oklahoma. Hs faith was steadfast and a pillar of who he was. Kenny retired from his work in the Oil Field as a Pipe Yard Supervisor and settled down to enjoy the finer things in life. He loved to fish and always had the perfect place in mind to cast a line and spend the day. He was a tinkerer too; he worked on lawn mowers and found joy in the delicate process of discovering what could be done to repair a small engine. His Dad jokes were always the funniest in his mind, despite the groans and chuckles he would get from others. They were an art he perfected and another sign of his love for his children and pride to be a loving father and grandfather. He also had an extensive collection of flashlights. He could spend hours recounting the specifics of the different models and brands in his array.
Kenny was survived by his wife, Peggy Dillow of the home; his daughters, April Harman of Shidler, Oklahoma and Melissa Qualls and husband Jonathan of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; his grandkids, Bradley Harman and wife Noelle of Edmond, Oklahoma, Rebecca Boksmati and husband Habib of Edmond, Oklahoma, Alexandra (Messy Marsha) McCormick and husband Christian of Gentry, Arkansas, Katelyn (Fred) Qualls of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and Gage Peters of Shidler, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Hayden Harman, Malikai Boksmati, Della Harman and Carson McCormick; brothers, Eddie Dillow and wife Carole of Pasadena, Texas and Doug Dillow and wife Dee of Newkirk, Oklahoma; sister in law, Joyce Dillow his sisters, Verlinda Barton and husband Mike of Braman, Oklahoma and Judy Phillips of Ponca City, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and LeEtta Dillow; and one brother, Merlyn Dillow.
