Harold was born in Blackwell, OK, on July 23, 1941, to Harold Wayne and Zelphia Goodman. He received his education at McCord, and Ponca City. He entered the work world at an early age as a dishwasher at Dick and Runt’s Café. After that, this started his line of employment. He worked for the City of Ponca City, Boomer Tires, Goodyear, and Noble Co. He retired from Bliss Co-op in Marland. There he made many friends and worked many hours. Through his years of work, he showed his many life skills to help others, with welding and farming in between. After 8-hour roles, he put in time with Dennis Olbert, Jack Murry, Jack Lane, Tom Otta, and Kenneth Spaulding. This also included hauling junk loads up and down the highways. Family believing he was “The human road map". If there was ever another route, he knew it.

On April 20th, 1962, he married Elizabeth Blueback, then settled in Marland to raise his 4 kids, and a granddaughter, Juanita Buffalohead. During this time, he was an active father, he had served as a deputy, volunteer firefighter, and mayor of Marland. On January 23, 1997, he married Connie Burk. They moved out west of Marland and established their farm. After retirement, Harold and Connie enjoyed following grand and great grandkids to any activities and sports. Always the outdoorsman, he loved coon hunting, fishing, camping, livestock shows, and Stillwater chicken sale.

Many may say that Harold was an honorable, trusting, dependable, and humble man. This makes his word and handshake his bonding contract. He was also liked for his joking sense of humor and bad punch lines. If he teased you, he liked you. His love and care for his family were deep and strong. Although often it was shown through discipline, installing integrity, hard strong working skills, dependability, and humbleness. The harder he rode you, the deeper the care of not giving up on you.

He is survived by his wife Connie, who his children truly appreciate all the years of love, laughter, care, and understanding she gave to them and the family. Also survived by: Felicia and Don Hopkins of Rangely, CO; Cynthia Goodman and Wes Gaines of Marland; JayBoy Goodman and Michelle Fahs of Ponca City; and Amanda Goodman of Marland.; sister, LaDonna Leon of Ponca City; 23 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren who truly loved their Papo. Harold will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, many who he welcomed into his home as family. They respectfully honored their beloved uncle Harold. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Donnie Goodman, and 2 great-granddaughters.
